We welcome your suggestions for books and other materials to be added to the Porter County Public Library System's collection. The Library will not purchase the following:

• Items with a publication or production date older than 2 years will not generally be considered for purchase. Older items may be requested through Interlibrary Loan
• Out of print or used items
• Items the Library is unable to locate through our approved vendors
• Items more than 5 months before the publication date, please wait to enter suggestions for purchase until items reach that threshold

The Library's budget has been reduced. This means that many titles we would normally have purchased will not be acquired.

All suggestions for purchase are subject to the same selection criteria as other materials and are not automatically added to the collection. It is the Library's intent that suggestions for purchase be used to help the Library in developing collections which serve the interests and needs of the community.
