The Friends of the Porter County Public Library is a group of volunteer library advocates who help promote the library. You are invited to join the Friends, just ask at any circulation desk.

The Role of Friends of the Library:

• Maintain an association of persons interested in libraries
• Focus public attention on the library system
• Stimulate the use of the library's resources and services
• Receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library system
• Support and cooperate with the library in developing libraryservices and facilities for the greater library community
• Lend legislative support where needed Support the Freedom To Read!

Friends raise money through:

• Membership Dues
• Projects
• Used Book Sales at all library branches
• Library book sale rooms at Valparaiso and Portage libraries
